The North Bay and District Hospital (NBDH) is a district referral centre that provides acute care services to the city of North Bay and surrounding areas, including Mattawa, West Nipissing and Temiskaming community hospitals serving a total catchment population of approximately 129,000.
The North Bay and District Hospital will be joining forces with the Northeast Mental Health Centre (NEMHC) to create a unique and innovative health centre tailored to the citizens of our region slated for opening on January 30, 2011.
Our new Health Centre will be a one-stop location offering a state-of-the-art acute care hospital and a modern, recovery-focused mental health facility that serves northeast Ontario, all housed in one cooperative health care campus.
