Telemedicine

Patients Served

Patients needing to access services via video conference.

Overview

Telemedicine clinics use cameras, telephones and televisions to connect you to doctors and other health professionals.

Telemedicine consultations are growing more and more popular throughout the world. They have proven to be particularly useful in rural and remote communities. The main benefits include helping patients gain access to medical specialists quickly while reducing the need to travel to receive care.

Your visit to Telemedicine

When patients have a Telemedicine appointment they and the specialist have the opportunity to view, listen and speak with one another via two-way videoconferencing. With the assistance of electronic devices, such as listening to a patient’s heart and lungs with a stethoscope or looking at a wound with a camera, we can assist the specialist with patient care.
